World War 2  द्वितीय विश्वयुद्ध, 1939-1945 तक चलने वाला एक विश्वस्तरिय युद्ध था। लगभग 70 देशो की जल, थल और वायु सेनाओ ने इसमे भाग लिया था। इस युद्ध मे विश्व दो भागो मे बटा हुआ था l मित्र राष्ट्र और धुरी राष्ट्र l विश्वयुद्ध के दौरान पूर्ण युद्ध का मनोभाव प्रचलन में आया। क्योकि इस युद्ध में सारी महशक्तियो ने, अपनी आर्थिक औद्योगिक तथा वैज्ञानिक क्षमता इस युद्ध मे झोक दी। इस युद्ध मे दुनिया के अलग अलग देशो के लगभग 10 करोड सैनिकों ने हिस्सा लिया था और ये युद्ध मानव इतिहास का सबसे घातक युद्ध साबित हुआ. इस महायुद्ध मे लगभग 6 करोड लोगो कि जाने गयी क्योकी उसकी महत्त्व पूर्ण घटनाक्रमो में असैनिक नागरिको का नरसंहार भी शामील हैं। तथा परमानु हाथीयारो का उपयोग भी शामिल है। जिसके कारन युद्ध के अंत में मित्र राष्ट्रो की जित हुइ। इसी कारन ये मानव इतिहास का सबसे भयंकर युद्ध था.
